Not too much news from the team this week...here are the highlights. The team made it back to town safely after having a couple of days off for Christmas and has had a couple of good practices according to Sampson.
On AJ Ratliff's Ankle Injury "He is a lot better than he was last week. I think he hurt his ankle last Tuesday afternoon. If we had a game tonight, he would play. If nothing else happens."
Sophomore guard Armon Bassett will return Saturday against Chicago State from a three game suspension. "Armon was really sharp yesterday and today," Sampson said of his point guard. Bassett had a hurt ankle before the suspension, so the time off could have helped.
Sampson said he thought Chicago State would give the team a challenge, pointing to Chicago State's game against last season against Michigan State. Chicago State had the lead into the second half before finally falling to the Spartans.
Eli Holman is probably not going to play. Sampson said the freshman's wrist is still sore and he is unable to follow through on shots.
The next game is Saturday at 8 p.m. when the Hoosiers host Chicago State.
