Good find by my roomate Derek:

Austin Starr is a finalist for the Lou Groza award, which is presented annually to the nations best kicker. Starr is joined by Arizona State's Thomas Weber and University Texas El Paso (UTEP's) Jose Martinez. I got to think Starr's heroics on Saturday helped his cause. Does he have a shot of taking home the hardware?

James Hardy however is not one of the three finalists for the Biletnikoff, awarded annually to the best wide receiver. The three finalists are Mario Manningham of Michigan, Michael Crabtree of Texas Tech and Jordy Nelson of Kansas State

Here's a comparison of the numbers for the three finalists and Hardy, you can decide whether or not he got hosed.

Crabtree: 125 catches, 1861 yards, 21 touchdowns

Manningham: 67 catches, 1096 yards, 11 touchdowns

Nelson: 107 catches, 1441 yards, 10 touchdowns

Hardy: 74 catches, 1075 yards, 16 touchdowns
