Eric Gordon was named the Big Ten Co-Player of the Week for his performances against Tennessee-Chattanooga and Longwood.
The guard from Indianapolis scored 33 and 21 in his first two collegiate games, breaking George McGinnis' 27 year record for most points scored by an IU freshman in his first two collegiate games. Perhaps the most impressive thing about Gordon's performance last week was his efficiency. He shot 59 percent from the field and 63 percent from behind the arc. Not a bad start.
Gordon shares the honor with Raymar Morgan of Michigan State.
