Monday night was a great start to the season for the Hoosiers, but one thing that surprised and disappointed me was the crowd booing Lance Stemler in the second half after he picked up his third foul.
Stemler is a starter and a HUGE piece of the puzzle this season. He didn't fill the boxscore against Tennessee-Chattanooga, but he is going to have his moments this year. Does anyone remember the last significant game IU played this year? The guy almost took IU to the Sweet Sixteen in the final minutes against UCLA.
Stemler is one of two senior starters on this team. He is one of the few veteran Hoosiers out there!
I don't know why IU fans - mainly IU students - feel the need to bash their own players (see Kline, Sean), but at least give the guy a few games to establish his worth.
