The latest rankings are out...IU is not ranked. BUT, the Hoosiers are getting more and more votes.
You may notice that in both the coaches and the AP poll they received more votes then Michigan and Penn State. They also received more votes in both polls then traditional powers Nebraska, Kansas State and Alabama.
With their season officially at its half way point, if I had to describe the Hoosiers with only one word, this would be the best description I have - Dangerous.
They are certainly a flawed team, namely having trouble stopping the run and establishing a rushing attack themselves. But I can't imagine that anyone on their schedule will look foward to playing them, as was the case in years past.
They're dangerous because they can score on one play on any given drive. They're dangerous because their defense sacks the quarterback an innapropriate amount of times. They're dangerous because Tracy Porter and (if healthy) Marcus Thigpen are lighting in a bottle on returns.
So while they may be flawed, they are most certainly dangerous.
What's your pulse of this team at the halfway point? Do you agree with the experts and think they are better than Michigan, Penn State, Nebraska and Alabama?
