IU coach Bill Lynch informed the media during his weekly press conference that Terrance Turner is out for the remainder of the season. He said it was a knee injury but did not go into specifics.

"Terrance is I guess he's out for the season," Lynch said. "He's going to have surgery in a couple weeks on the knee. It's very unfortunate because he was playing well and is a young kid but the results of the test on Monday...he's out."

A tough loss for the Hoosiers and more importantly a bad break for Turner, hopefully he recovers and is better than ever next year.

Lynch also said that sophomore running back Demetrius McCray isn't expected to play Saturday against Minnesota.

"I'm not sure when we're going to get D McCray back but we'll get him back before long," Lynch said. "We don't expect (McCray) this week."

They are going to be glad when they get McCray back, he was a solid contributer and their running attack is STRUGGLING.

Lynch also came about as close as he'll ever get to publicly questioning calls from officials.

"We had a couple of penalties that we need to get corrected," Lynch said. "The one huddle procedure penalty, they don't always call it but by rule it was right."

"The one penalty that hurt is the alignment on the punt," Lynch said. "You know it was close, generally probably one that's not called but by rule it was the right call"
