A quick injury report, all courtesy of IU Coach Bill Lynch and his weekly press conference:

* Sophomore running back Demetrius McCray will not play against Michigan State. Lynch said that he does expect McCray back in the near future.

* Lynch hinted that he expects junior running back Marcus Thigpen and senior fullback Josiah Sears to be ready to go Saturday night.

* But for the second straight week the Hoosiers lose a player for the year. Freshman linebacker Tyler Replogle is out for the year and will have surgury on his knee shortly.

* ESPN's Pat Forde gave Bill Lynch the nod for his first half Big 10 coach of the year in his latest ARTICLE. A very strong case could be made for Ron Zook as well, but I personally am glad to see someone give Lynch recognition. (He typically is the king of 'giving credit' to anyone and everyone.)

* Two other College Football writers for the World Wide Leader ESPN have updated their BOWL PREDICTIONS. They both think IU is going Bowling, and will be somewhere not named Detroit. Bruce Feldman has the Hoosiers playing Colorado in the Insight Bowl. (Arizona) while Mark Schlabach has IU taking on THE U, Miami in the Champs Sports Bowl (Florida.)

* After watching the movie 300, I am absolutely terrified of anything and everything that goes by the monicker SPARTAN Is anyone kind of worried about IU's chances this Saturday based solely on the fact that the opposing team has the same name as King Leonidas and Co.? Or am I just a complete idiot?
