It came awfully quickly, didn't it? Looks like perfect conditions for the women's race -- high '60s, sunny skies. It's a good day for cycling.

The IDS published a women's and men's Little 500 poll today. For the poll we contacted a rider from every team and asked them to indicate who they thought the top three finishers would be. The only stipulation was they could not include themselves in the poll. A first-place vote earned a team three points, a second-place vote earned two points and a third-place vote earned one point.

After tallying all the points, here are the results: Women 1. Teter 2. Kappa Delta 3. Cycledelics 4. Kappa Alpha Theta 5. Alpha Gamma Delta

Men 1. Cutters 2. Dodds House 3. Phi Kappa Psi 4. Black Key Bulls 5. Team Major Taylor

A few observations: I noticed while conducting the poll is that the higher-seeded teams voted much differently than the lower-seeded teams. Cutters earned 21 first-place votes, adn only four men's teams earned first-place votes. For the women, eight different teams earned first place votes. Team Revolution earned one vote for first-place.

For the rest of the day, we'll all be out at the track, but we'll be back posting the results up here ASAP.
