Thanks to this weekend's awesome weather, IU's schedule got pushed back and moved around a few times in the last four days. The result.....a Monday doubleheader with Northwestern.

After struggling Sunday, IU finally put offense and defense together, winning both games today, 5-4 and 5-2. Freshman catcher Josh Phegley had a big day, hitting a two-run double as a pinch hitter in Game 1 that sparked IU's offense.

Phegley continued his hot hitting in Game 2 with a 1-for-3 effort with an RBI and a run.

On the mound, the Hoosiers got strong efforts from both freshman Jason Ferrell in the early game and junior Doug Fleenor in the matinee game. Each pitcher got the win in their respective games.

Check tomorrow's IDS for a more in-depth look at today's doubleheader.

The Hoosiers next game is Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Sembower Field. IU hosts the Evansville Purple Aces.
