Looking back at Quals, I can't help but think it was such a crazy day. First, IUSF announces they will allow alumni coaches in the pits on race day, then Courtney Bishop coaches Team Major Taylor during their qual attempt. And at the end of the day, ATO failed to qualify for the race.
Certainly the thing most people around campus will talk about today is how ATO failed to qualify. But perhaps the lingering questions those closely associated with the race will ask will be about Bishop. After talking with several IUSF officials, the only reasoning they gave me for lifting his ban is that they thought if they were going to allow all alumni coaches in, they should let him in, too.
