Teachers Warehouse Board Member Recruitment

Teachers Warehouse, “a store without a cash register” that provides free supplies to area students via their teachers, is seeking board members who share a strong passion for education. Requirements for board service include serving a 3-year team, attending bi-monthly meetings, and assisting with special events.

Arbor Day Tree Planting

City of Bloomington Parks & Recreation invites you to assist their Urban Forestry staff in planting trees, getting hands-on experience while celebrating Arbor Day! Gloves, shovels, and on-site training are provided. Please wear long pants and sturdy shoes. Meet at the red barn in Rogers Family Park.


Age Requirements: 16 and up. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have an underage Waiver of Liability signed by a parent or guardian.

Wintercreeper Weed Wrangle for the Animals

Join Monroe County Identify & Reduce Invasive Species (MC-IRIS) at the City of Bloomington Animal Care and Control. Volunteers will be cutting large wintercreeper vines that are crawling up and threatening trees in the dog park. Tools and gloves will be provided. Bring water to drink.
