Bloomington Refugee Support Network Seeking New Board Members

The Bloomington Refugee Support Network (BRSN) is in need of additional board members. They are especially interested in new members who can serve as either a financial advisor and coordinator or a volunteer coordinator. An ideal BRSN board member is committed to the cause of helping all immigrants settle into the Bloomington community with support from the organization.

Area 10 Agency on Aging REPAIRS Team

Area 10 Agency on Aging is looking for more volunteers to join their REPAIRS Team. REPAIRS Team volunteers tackle individual home-bound seniors' home repairs and accessibility needs. Current team members assist with ramp building and installation of handrails and grab bars. Area 10 is also looking for volunteers who are skilled in household plumbing issues and good with troubleshooting. This volunteer work is as-needed and flexible to meet your schedule.

Animal Shelter Waitlist for Volunteering is OPEN

Interested in volunteering at the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter? Your opportunity awaits! Though the shelter is still training some in-shelter volunteers from their first round of orientations, they are ready to open their waitlist. In-shelter volunteer opportunities include dog walking, stray cat care, the Book Buddies program, and so much more. Volunteers are required to pass a screening process and to serve a minimum of 6-months (aside from school breaks and vacations). Please note: This is not the volunteer application, but a list used to contact potential volunteers with the application link in the future.
