Following overnight snow and a low of around 24 degrees Monday morning, Monroe County’s travel status was moved to advisory at 8:13 a.m. It was lifted Monday afternoon at 1:26 p.m.

This is the lowest and least restrictive level of travel advisory and means routine travel or activities may be restricted due to a hazardous situation, according to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.

The DHS recommends people be cautious and avoid hazardous areas under an advisory.

Light snow accumulation was expected during the morning Monday, according to the National Weather Service, which could have caused slippery surfaces and hazardous travel conditions.

The advisory was expected to be in effect until noon, Monroe County Emergency Management Deputy Director Justin Baker said in an email.

Bloomington received less than an inch of snow Monday morning, according to the NWS, and the city saw winds from 8 to 14 mph with gusts as high as 17 mph.

The low Monday evening is expected to be around 22 degrees.

Scattered flurries are predicted to continue Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m.

UPDATE: This story has been updated to include the advisory’s end time.
