The IU Police Department responded to four separate assaults that occurred on campus during Little 500 weekend.
IUPD responded to a reported assault around 11:15 p.m. April 19 at Franklin Hall according to IU Public Safety Communications Manager Mary Keck.
IUPD officers spoke with event management staff who said the suspect had left the building already. The victim said they do not wish to pursue charges.
Keck said the suspect is known to IUPD and not affiliated with IU. The case is inactive.
IUPD officers on foot patrol were approached by a man, who said that he had been assaulted, around 1 a.m. on April 20 at Tau Epsilon Phi, Keck said. The man told officers that the suspect assaulted him on three different occasions during the evening.
The suspect is known to IUPD, and the investigation is active.
Keck said in an email that IUPD officers responded to a report of a battery around 11 p.m. April 20 to Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Officers met with the victim, and he said a non-student had punched him in the nose causing it to bleed.
The victim did not wish to pursue charges, and the case was closed.
IUPD officers also responded to a report of a battery around 11 p.m. April 20 to Sigma Alpha Epsilon. The victim said he was pushed by a member of the house as they were trying to get him to leave.
Keck said in the email the victim did not want to pursue any charges and the case was closed.
