Students can participate in a free hot air balloon ride, sponsored by the Limitless Club at IU, until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Dunn Meadow. Students have been lining up since 5:30 p.m. to take advantage of free rides and Chipotle.

Michael Booher, vice president and co-founder of Limitless Club at IU, said the goal of the organization is to establish a community of individuals who have an entrepreneurial mindset. The club hosts town hall meetings, workshops and guest speakers to provide their members with resources to turn their business ideas into reality, according to the club’s Instagram.

Booher said each semester, the Limitless Club at IU hosts “spontaneous events”, like hot air balloon rides, to challenge their members. For instance, last semester club members participated in a 10-meter-high dive at the Indiana Memorial Union in collaboration with IU Recreational Sports.

“You want to just push a well-rounded mindset and to be an ambitious person,” Booher said. “If they do this and they’re afraid of heights, they have more competency and they’re able to face future adversity.”

Booher said the club received funding through the IU Funding Board and partnered with Balloons Over Bloomington, a balloon ride tour agency, to organize the event. Booher said the Limitless Club at IU also partnered with the IU Ad Club to market the event under the theme “the sky is limitless.”

Booher said there are currently 86 registered members in the club. Students interested in learning more about Limitless Club at IU can visit their beINvolved page or Instagram for more information.
