Duke Energy reported a power outage at approximately 4:59 p.m. in Bloomington, leaving around 797 people in the College Mall area without power, according to the Duke Energy outage map. Duke Energy estimates the power will be restored around 9 p.m. Thursday.
According to the outage map, the outage was caused by an object coming into contact with power lines.
As of 6 p.m. Duke Energy was in the process of assigning a crew to restore the power in affected areas.
