The IU Police Department received two separate reports of sexual assault Oct. 27.

IU Police Department received a report from a student who said they had been sexually assaulted several times over the past three years Oct. 27.

IUPD Deputy Chief Shannon Bunger said in an email the student stated another student would ask them for sex, but the reporting student stated they did not want to. The suspect would get upset, so the reporting student gave in.

The reporting student declined to file charges, and Bunger said the case is now closed.

IUPD received another report Oct. 27 from a student who said they had been sexually assaulted sometime during the week of Dec. 6, 2021. The student and the suspect, who is also a student, were in a relationship at the time of the assault. The reporting student also declined to file charges, Bunger said, and the case is now closed.
