Does my IU CrimsonCard count as a photo ID when I vote?

In Indiana, voters are required to show a photo ID when they arrive at the polls. The IU CrimsonCard meets the Indiana requirements for a valid ID and can be used.

A valid ID must include the following:

  1. A photo of you

  2. Your name. It does not have to match the name on your voter registration. You can see examples of acceptable variations here.

  3. An expiration date and be either current or expired after the last general election (Nov. 6, 2018)

  4. Be issued by the State of Indiana or the U.S. government.

A student ID from a private university would not work.
