Former IU men's basketball player Evan Fitzner will begin his professional career with Team FOG Næstved.

His new team is located in Næstved, Denmark, in the best Danish basketball league, Basketligaen.

The San Diego native played at IU for one season after transferring from Saint Mary's College of California as a redshirt senior. Standing at 6-feet-10-inches, Fitnzer could stretch outside the 3-point line and knock shots down.

Fitzner displayed that ability after scoring a season-high 16 points off 4-4 3-pointers last season against Marquette University. After that, he struggled to find his fit with the Hoosiers, appearing in 31 games to average 11 minutes and 3.5 points per game.

During his senior day media interview, Fitzner said he wanted to continue to play basketball for as long as he can. Now, Fitzner will rep Hoosier nation in Denmark.
