Bloomington Transit to hold 17th annual "Stuff-A-Bus"

Bloomington Transit, the city's public transportation corporation, will attempt for the 17th time to stuff one of its buses full of toys and children's clothing for the holiday season.

The "Stuff-A-Bus" initiative, a partnership among BT, the Salvation Army and WCLS 97.7, will take place from Nov. 29 to Dec. 11.

Locals are encouraged to donate unwrapped toys and new outerwear so they may be gifted to families who have requested assistance from the Salvation Army, according to a release from the city.

The decorated bus used to collect the gifts will be unveiled in front of WCLS on North Walnut Street on Nov. 29. It will be brought around to various shopping centers in the area before being presented to the Salvation Army on Dec. 11.

Those interested in volunteering to staff the bus are encouraged to call Bloomington Transit's Brenda Underwood at 812-961-0523.
