Multi-platinum-selling country artist and NBC’s “The Voice” judge Blake Shelton was announced as the Indianapolis 500’s headlining act for the Firestone Legends Day Concert.
The third annual concert will take place May 28 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on the Turn 4 infield stage, according to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway website.
“The Firestone Legends Day Concert has become a staple for fans of country music and racing, and we’re proud to carry on this tradition with Blake Shelton the night before the historic 100th Running of Indianapolis 500,” said Philip Dobbs, chief marketing officer at Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, in a press release.
Opening acts and special guests include “Buy Me A Boat” singer Chris Janson and Pendleton, Indiana, native Corey Cox.
Tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. Feb. 29, on the IMS website.
Tickets for 100th running of the Indy 500 are on sale now. Ticket prices start at $40 for general admission and $50 for reserved seating, according to their website.
