A rape was reported early Saturday morning in the alley behind Kilroy’s Dunnkirk, according to the IU Police Department daily crime log.
According to IUPD, an officer happened upon two people while driving, a 20-year-old student and a 28-year-old unaffiliated with IU, engaging in what appeared to be sexual activity at 2:30 a.m.
According to the 20-year-old victim, the suspect had initiated sexual contact without consent. The suspect told the IUPD officer consent was given.
Both met earlier at a local bar, which they left for the nearby alley behind Dunnkirk together, according to an IUPD statement.
IUPD has made no arrests and is currently investigating the incident. The identities of the suspect and victim have not been released.
