Big Red Liquors’ Senior Director of Media and Promotions Matt Colglazier said the festival is the longest running event of its kind in ?Bloomington.
Tickets to the event cost $40 and will be available for purchase online via Eventbrite, with proceeds going to the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington. Tickets will be available for purchase throughout the day Friday.
Over the past 23 years , the event has raised more than $100,000 for the Club.
The tasting includes more than 350 domestic and imported beers, Colglazier said.
Upon entry, people will receive a six-ounce glass which they will take with them from table to table to try beers, he said.
Colglazier said he can’t think of a better way to spend a Friday night than at an event like Beerfest.
“You get to taste 350 beers for charity,” he said.
