Women’s basketball to play Boston College

The IU women’s basketball team announced on Wednesday that it will play Boston College in the 2014 Big Ten/ACC Challenge. It will be the first ever meeting between the two programs.

“We are excited about out our matchup with Boston College in the annual challenge,” IU Coach Curt Miller said in the press release.  “I am personal friends with their coaching staff and have great respect for the job they are doing re-building the program.  I look forward to a fun, up-tempo game where both teams won’t be afraid to shoot the three.”

Miller also said the Eagles had a 6-1 non-conference home record last season.  “They excel as a team shooting the ball and utilize the 3-point shot similar to us,” he said.

The Hoosiers and Eagles will face off on Wednesday, Dec. 3. Broadcast coverage and game times will be announced at a later date.
