Motorcycle crash kills Greenfield man

Greenwood, Ind., resident Louis Sitter was riding his motorcycle Saturday afternoon when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a John Deere Grader Tractor on Salt Creek Road in Nashville, Ind. The collision resulted in the 49-year-old's death.

John Rodgers, the Brown County Highway Department driver, said he tried to move the tractor out of the way but was not able to in time.

Sitter was driving the 2007 Honda motorcycle southbound toward State Road 446. His family has been notified of his death.

Officers at the scene had no reason to believe that Rodgers was under the influence of any drug or chemical that would be attributed to the crash, according to a press release.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Nashville Police Department and the Brown County Coroner, assisted at the scene.
