Sports author Mark Titus will speak at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the School of Public Health Mobley Auditorium.
“Mark will be speaking about the sports industry, how he got to where he is now, the challenges he had to face and the nuts and bolts of the business he is currently in,” junior and IU Sport Communication Club President Hank Glassner said in an email. “He’ll also be giving advice and insight throughout the speaker appearance.”
There will be a question and answer session following Titus’ talk, Glassner said.
Titus is originally from Brownsburg, Ind., and is known for his blog Club Trillion, which focuses on his days as a reserve on Ohio State University’s basketball team.
He is also known for his contributions to grantland.com, which is affiliated with ESPN.
Titus’ most recent book, “Don’t Put Me In, Coach: My Incredible Journey from the End of the Bench to the End of the Bench,” was released in March 2012.
The talk is sponsored by the Sport Communication Club and the IU Sport Marketing and Communication Program.
