The Board of Trustees appointed Hannah Buxbaum as acting dean of the Maurer School of Law Friday. Her new position is effective Feb. 1.
Buxbaum’s appointment follows the announcement of current dean, Lauren Robel, as the interim provost for the IU-Bloomington campus.
“Having worked closely with Hannah for 15 years, I am confident that she will be a magnificent interim dean,” Robel said. “Her experience as a practitioner, professor and administrator will serve her well in this new role.”
Buxbaum is currently the executive associate dean for academic affairs and the John E. Schiller chair in legal ethics at the school.
“I am honored by this appointment and look forward to working with faculty, students and alumni during Lauren’s interim assignment,” Buxbaum said.
