A student visiting the IU campus this weekend reported being assaulted
early Saturday morning, according to an IU Police Department report.
The victim reported he was walking home from a friend’s house at about 3 a.m.
Three white males attacked him outside Foster Quad.
He told IUPD he had been punched in the face.
“After fighting back, two companions of the man who assaulted the victim
jumped in the fight,” IUPD Chief Keith Cash said. “The man then fell to
the ground and was kicked repeatedly.”
IU Health-Bloomington reported the assault to police and the victim was questioned at the hospital, Cash said.
The victim has since been treated and released.
IUPD was unable to locate the men who assaulted the victim.
