The Indiana State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Monroe County on Friday, June 3.
State troopers will be stopping vehicles at the checkpoint to check for drivers impaired by alcohol or other drugs. The State Police indicated that drivers should have their license and registration ready to give to the police officers.
Drivers will only be detained briefly as officers determine whether more investigation is needed, such as a field sobriety test or a breathalyzer test.
The exact location within Monroe County has not been disclosed.
