Police officers are looking for a suspect in a Bloomington homicide case. The murder is unrelated to the case of the missing IU student, Lauren Spierer.
In what BPD Lt. Bill Parker described as a “boyfriend-girlfriend situation,” the BPD was alerted to possible foul play after victim Angela Holder, a 39-year-old Bloomington resident, did not show up for work at the Scottish Inn on Tuesday.
Neighbors said Holder and her boyfriend, Bruce Foster, had been arguing earlier that day. Foster then entered Holder’s residence and left later in Holder’s vehicle, a dark blue Chrysler Concord, neighbors told police.
When Holder did not show up for work, the police were notified and showed up at her residence to find Holder dead with multiple stab wounds. The police consider Foster the likely perpetrator, Parker said.
Volunteers who were helping in the search for Lauren Spierer recovered a purse Tuesday belonging to Holder, Parker said. But he clarified the purse was related to this murder investigation and not the Spierer case.
Foster is a black male in his fifties and could be driving Holder’s dark blue Chrysler Concord.
Police cautioned that Foster could be armed, as they did not find the murder weapon at the scene of the crime.
Parker asked members of the public who might have seen Foster to alert Blomington Policeat 812-339-4477.
