In the aftermath of a Martinsville shooting that happened March 25, the 15-year-old boy accused of firing a gun on another student will now be facing an adult trial.
The Morgan County Superior Court 2 decided at 2:30 p.m. today that Michael Phelps will be tried as an adult as a result of him shooting 15-year-old student Chance Jackson twice in the stomach at an Indiana middle school.
Phelps faces possible charges of felony attempted murder, aggravated battery, trespassing and two school-related firearm charges.
