Saturday drive offers free e-cycling

Bloomington residents can discard their outdated electronics for free at College Mall’s e-cycling drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

5R Processors, Ltd. will be in the College Mall parking lot near Sears. People can recycle items such as laptops, printer cartridges, televisions, microwaves and MP3 players.

“I think it’s a nice community event,” said Dena Marietta, College Mall director of marketing and business development. “In this community there are a lot of computers with the University and businesses.”

5R Processors, Ltd. will also provide Department of Defense-approved data removal services for $10 per drive or laptop.

5R Processors, Ltd. is a registered recycler under Indiana’s Electronic Manufacturer Take-Back law that went into effect in 2010.

College Mall will sponsor another recycling drive on Earth Day, April 22.
