The volleyball team (19-7, 7-7) defeated Minnesota in four sets Friday and downed Iowa in three sets Saturday.
Since losing their first four Big Ten matches, the Hoosiers have gone 7-3.
The Hoosiers went 6-11 at University Gym in 2009, but this year the team is 9-1 on its
home court.
“We are much more aggressive when we are on our home court than when we are away,” Dunbar said.
The Hoosiers came out strong Friday, winning the first set 25-22.
Down 22-18 in the second, IU scored eight of the next 12 points to take a two-set lead.
The Golden Gophers took the third set 25-21, and IU closed out the match with a 25-22 fourth-set victory.
Sophomore outside hitter Jordan Haverly led all players with 24 kills.
“Whether it’s with serving, passing, blocking, hitting — she is that six rotation player for us,” Dunbar said of Haverly.
After beating the No. 19-ranked team in the nation, IU defeated the Hawkeyes in a sweep, 25-19, 25-16 and 25-17.
Senior middle blocker Ashley Benson and Haverly were first and second among all players with 12 and 11 kills, respectively.
The two wins placed the Hoosiers in a four-team tie for fifth place in the Big Ten.
The Hoosiers play two other teams in that tie this week — Purdue and Northwestern.
IU will take on the Boilermakers on Wednesday in West Lafayette for the Monon Spike.
