The 11th annual Jill Behrman 5K Race raised more than $25,000 for Jill’s House and the Jill Behrman Emerging Leadership Scholarship.
Jill Behrman, an IU student and Campus Recreational Sports employee, was murdered in 2000 after she went on a solo bike ride.
The race was created following her death and drew more than 1,260 participants this year.
The 5K race winner this year was Andrew Buzzelli, followed by Lionel Montenegro and Kyle Brehm.
The 5k walk winner was Brendan Kelley, followed by Ryan Lidster and Brett Jackson.
This year’s Jill Behrman Emerging Leadership Scholarship was given to Kacey Bourdage and Kimberly Kopecky.
