Jobless people in 2 cities to get free flu shots

ELKHART, Ind. – Unemployed residents in Elkhart and Indianapolis might get an ounce of prevention for free.

CVS Caremark will distribute free flu shot vouchers to eligible jobless residents at four WorkOne centers in the two cities beginning Tuesday.

The vouchers will be available beginning at 8 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Participants must be 18 or older and will need to show their state-issued unemployment insurance Visa debit card and photo identification.

Elkhart County had an unemployment rate of 16 percent in August, the state’s highest.
