The Obama Administration is squandering our futures in the vortex that Obama has coined Af-Pak. This brutalization in Afghanistan and Pakistan is being waged by the butcher of Iraq, General Stanley McChrystal.
Causalities are mounting on both sides as the opposition to the war in all NATO countries breaks 50 percent, including the United States. Could it be that this is not a war for freedom, but a war to sow instability in order to destabilize Afghanistan so that the bacilli of instability could spread into Pakistan as well as Iran?
Should an empire be so arrogant that it uses poor people as pawns to maintain its geopolitical dominance? Such mentalities lead to blow-back. The imperative now is a complete withdrawal from Afghanistan and Pakistan and to let these peoples determine their own fates without drone attacks and McChrystal’s demented utopias of torture and bribery.
Vietnam, no, I mean, Afghanistan, must end now.
The fraudulent nature of the Afghan election comes out day by day, proving it was simply a struggle between narco-warlords. Unfortunately for Hamid Karzai, he is starting to resemble another tragic figure in JFK’s Camelot, Ngo Dinh Diem.
And we all know the outcome of the Vietnam War: four million dead Vietnamese, the Khmer Rouge (as a result of the US bombing of Cambodia), as well as war veterans being marginalized and maltreated.
As an American taxpayer, to paraphrase one recent antiwar writer contrasting Vietnam and Af-Pak, I want my money back, I have seen this movie before and it ends badly.
Growing opposition amongst Americans is good, however, for the politicians, they only act if the streets act. It is time to take to streets now and demand an end to this brutal circus in Central Asia and Iraq now!
I want my money back
