Gov. Daniels appoints IU alumnus to Department of Financial Institutions

Gov. Daniels announced today that IU alumnus David Mills will be the new director of the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions, according to a press release.

Mills was formerly a bank executive and will replace Judith Ripley, who has been the DFI director for four years.

He received his undergraduate degree from IU and is a graduate of the Herbert V. Prochnow Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.

Daniels also appointed attorney Andrew J. Kossack as state public access counselor, according to the release.

These appointments will be in effect starting Sept. 7, according to the release.
