ZIONSVILLE – WTHR-TV in Indianapolis reports that the Boone County sheriff’s department is investigating after “$5 million Obama pork” was recently spray painted on a sign about a runway project at the airport.
Dan Montgomery is the owner and operator of Montgomery Aviation at the airport. He says the vandalism, with its reference to President Barack Obama, is “really upsetting” and “really is childish.”
The airport was waiting for Federal Aviation Administration and county money for a new runway. But with the help of federal stimulus money, the runway project moved forward more quickly than planned.
