The Jacobs School of Music will begin its annual Summer Music Festival Sunday.
The Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio will start the almost two-month long festival of recitals. Its free performance in the Recital Hall in Merrill Hall will feature the works of Beethoven, Shostakovich and Schubert.
Many of the festival performances are free.
A pass can be purchased through the music school for discounted entry into ticketed performances. Individual tickets can be purchased at the performance locations.

Highlights of the festival include the return of Bloomington-raised pianist Jonathan Biss on July 3.
Two recitals featuring renowned pianist and founding member of the Beaux Arts Trio Menahem Pressler will take place on July 21 and 22.
This year’s festival will also feature the collegiate premiere of “The Light in the Piazza.”
The IU Opera Theater will perform this Tony Award-winning musical on July 31 and August 1, 7 and 8.
