Tornado watch in effect until 7 p.m. tonight

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for the Bloomington area until 7 p.m. tonight.

Monroe is among 10 other counties in southern Indiana under the tornado warning.

There is a near 100 percent chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and a 90 percent chance of precipitation this evening for Bloomington.

Tomorrow will be much colder and snow showers are likely, although there will be little or no accumulation, according to the National Weather Service. There is currently a 60 percent chance of snow tomorrow.
