INDIANAPOLIS – A youth manager at Marion County’s juvenile detention center faces felony charges for allegedly forcing a 16-year-old boy to perform a sex act on him.
Michael A. Jackson, 27, was charged Friday with sexual misconduct and child seduction.
Marion Superior Court’s Executive Committee, which has oversight of the Juvenile Detention Center, declined to comment on Jackson’s arrest other than to say he was on administrative leave.
According to court records, Jackson demanded the boy perform oral sex in his office inside the center on Dec. 24.
The boy told investigators he tried to ignore Jackson but was afraid of him and agreed to oral sex. Jackson allegedly told the boy not to tell anyone.
After Jackson allegedly asked for sex again, the boy reported the incident to a staff member who told her superiors of the allegations on Dec. 29.
Jackson denied the sexual assault and said he was not alone with the boy for more than a couple of minutes, according to court records.
But prosecutors said video surveillance indicated Jackson and the boy were alone in an office with the blinds drawn and the door shut for 52 minutes. Three employees also told police they had seen the boy and Jackson together in the office, prosecutors said.
