Body found behind Purdue University residence hall

The Tippecanoe County Coroner and the Purdue University Police Department are investigating the death of a male found behind a University residence hall early Tuesday morning.

A service worker discovered the body at 5:20 a.m. today behind Hawkins Hall, said Jeanne Norberg, spokesperson for Purdue University.

The residence hall typically houses graduate students, Norberg said. She said she does not think any Purdue students saw the body.

The male did not have any identification on him, Norberg said.

The coroner told the University it does not appear foul play was involved in the death, Norberg said. The death is still being investigated.
