I would like to commend The Indiana Daily Student for printing the opinion piece “Praise for anti-Zionism.”
While I might not agree with the opinions expressed in the column, it is important for a student publication to print pieces that address taboo subjects.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been and will continue to be an extremely difficult issue in international relations.
With the Nov. 4 election looming, it is important for IU students to discuss both domestic and international issues despite their politically charged nature.
I believe that “Praise for anti-Zionism” has helped spur political discussion, which is something that is all too uncommon on campus.
Thank you for including an unpopular opinion in the newspaper. I hope the IDS will continue to exercise its First Amendment rights in the future.
