IU Football not on local channels

I was very pleased to see that Indiana made it to the Insight Bowl in a warm climate so that if fans have the time they can go out to see the game. I have one issue though. According to today’s Chicago Tribune, the Insight Bowl is the only bowl game that is not on ABC, NBC, CBS or ESPN. It’s on the NFL Network! So adding insult to the whole Big Ten Network fiasco that causes us to miss 20 of Indiana’s 33 basketball games, I’ll also miss their first football bowl game in 14 years. Did Indiana know of the TV situation when they agreed to this game or were we just so excited to be invited we didn’t consider side issues like that?
