The IU Student Foundation is offering a $100 prize to the creator of the official logo for the 76th annual IU Sing. \n“They’re really interested in getting a lot of people involved,” said Andrea West, a member of the IU Sing marketing committee. “They believe the students have a lot of talent.” \nIn addition to the money, the winner of the contest will receive two free tickets to IU Sing and will have the logo displayed on merchandise, flyers, buses and the backdrop of the stage. The theme, “Caught in the Spotlight,” must be included somewhere on the logo. \n“They just really want it to capture the theme,” West said. \nEntries may be hand drawn, though computer drawn entries in PDF format are preferred. Entries can be submitted on a 3-by-5 inch floppy disk, a CD or on unlined 8.5-by-11 inch white paper. Entrants can submit more than one drawing, but a name, local address and phone number must be included with each drawing. \n“I really encourage people to get involved in this,” said Ben Holdread, the coordinator of the IU Sing logo contest. “I think we’re going to have some promising entries.” \nEntries must be submitted by 4 p.m. Nov. 2 to the IUSF Wilcox House. The sealed envelope should read “Attention: IU Sing 2008 Logo Contest.” \nFor questions regarding the contest, contact Holdread at bholdrea@indiana.edu or visit www.iusf.indiana.edu.
