On bar do's and don'ts\n"There's no need to be rude. No need to be pushy. Just be respectful. You can get annoyed at any job, but I think people should keep in mind that we work here. There's a pretty wide spectrum of stuff you can get away with, but don't steal shit and don't be rude."

On the cut-off point\n"If you make a huge scene nobody wants to deal with that."\n"What happened a couple weeks ago, this group of kids were getting totally wasted and everything would set them off. It happened twice, then they left where I was so I told the other servers not to serve them. They ended up getting the cops called on them for throwing chairs and shit."

On pick-up norms\n"Usually guys are buying shots for girls. It's usually: A guy walks over and buys a girl, and whoever she is with, a drink. If there are two girls he will buy a drink for both. And then, you know, he's in good with the girl's friend."

On bartending\n"I've learned that people like to go out all the time. I like to go out, too. If you don't go out all the time, you really aren't missing out on anything. It's pretty much the same every week. People getting drunk. It kinda blurs together. The night is what you make it."

On balancing the job and school\n"I am just going back to school. I took a year off. I'm just going to power through it. I get off at 9 or 10 and then the night bartenders come in, which helps, for sure. I'm a waitress once a week and close once a night"
