You disgust me, Edward Delp

Your latest article (“Officer down,” April 14) is not only insulting to thousands of people, but it borders on seething racism, something you teeter on the dangerous edge of constantly. I am a liberal, something that in each article you try to make a bad word. \nYou say we are the inferior, that we are ridiculous, and that we know how ridiculous we are. Do you honestly think that there would be a vast following of the liberal ideology if we all thought it was insane? \nYour articles uphold no conservative ideologies, just ignorant ones. Liberal and liberalism are not bad words. Not you, Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, nor anyone else will ever make me feel that way either. Liberals got women the right to vote. Liberals got African-Americans the right to vote. Liberals created Social Security and lifted millions of elderly people out of poverty.\nLiberals passed the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. Liberals created Medicare. Liberals passed the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act. What did the conservatives do? \nThey opposed liberals on every issue, and I have no doubt you would have been with them on every point. You disgust me.
