Morgan Superior Court Judge Christopher Burnham denied an appeal for the conviction of John Myers II, the man convicted of murdering IU sophomore Jill Behrman in May 2000.\nA Morgan County jury convicted Myers on Oct. 30, 2006, after a two-week trial and 45 minutes of deliberation.\nEarlier this month, Myers fired his attorney, Patrick Baker, and requested a public defender. Myers is serving a 65-year sentence.
