IUSA hosts call-out meeting for prospective candidates

Applications to be made available on the Web soon

The room has not yet been announced.\nIUSA President Betsy Henke said the only requirement for candidates is that they be full-time students.\n"It's important that (the candidate is) someone who has a good idea about what issues face students and has an idea of where the University is going in the future," Henke said. "They need to be assertive and be able to voice concerns."\nStudents who are interested in IUSA or want to sign-up can find applications at www.indiana.edu/~iusa or go to the IUSA office, IMU 378, on the third floor of the student activities tower. Henke said if applications are not currently available online, they will be soon.\nHenke said any students interested in participating are welcome to stop by the office and ask questions of current officers.\nUnion Board President Bradley Allen will be the commissioner for the 2007 elections. He will be in charge of overseeing the election process, making sure students have been notified about the electronic voting system and coordinating logistics, Henke said.\nIUSA elections will take place on Feb. 27.
