Play in the Wolf Run Intercollegiate began Saturday with two streaks on the line: IU sophomore Jorge Campillo's streak of three straight top-five finishes and the University of Louisville's three-tournament winning streak. By Sunday night, both streaks had come to an end. \nCampillo has led the young Hoosiers' squad so far this season, finishing in the top five in each of the three fall events. He finished just outside this range Sunday in sixth place. \nEven though Campillo said before the event that the team could be successful even if he had a mediocre finish, the Hoosiers didn't reinforce his comments at Wolf Run, finishing seventh out of 10 teams.\n"Jorge still needs some support," IU coach Mike Mayer said.\nMayer said Campillo's performance in this event was at as high of a level as those in the first events of the season, but a strong field and a difficult course led to a drop in his finish.\n"(Wolf Run) is a PGA-caliber golf course," Mayer said. "There's no question in my mind."\nThe course even proved to be difficult enough to slightly slow down Louisville. The Cardinals were victorious in all three of their previous events of the season, including two events in which IU competed. Entering the final round trailing in-state rival Kentucky by three strokes, Louisville rallied to end the final 18 holes in a tie. The two teams entered a playoff, and after the second hole, the Wildcats were tournament champions, and Louisville's streak -- like Campillo's -- was snapped.\nWolf Run was the first IU-hosted event of the season, but with the course being located in Zionsville, Ind., the only real advantage IU had was the ability to get a few days of practice in before the event. Senior Tad Sacheck -- a Zionsville native and a member at Wolf Run -- competed in his first event since his freshman year, but his familiarity with the course didn't provide the advantage the Hoosiers had hoped for. Despite the seventh-place finish, Mayer said he felt his team was just a few mistakes from being near the top of the leaderboard, and he would still rank this outing as the team's second best of the season.\n"At times, I think we played well," he said. "I know we're better than (we were in) the first tournament"
